SriLankan Airlines Limited which was known as Air Lanka is the flag carrier airline of Sri Lanka. It has a fleet of 12 Airplanes that flies to destinations in Asia and Europe from its base at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport.
Economy and Business Class cabins are offered on the airline, and meal and drinks service is offered in both classes. Passengers in the Business Class may preorder special meals such as Kosher or Hindu. The order must be placed at least 48 hours before the flight departure. Personal televisions are provided to all passengers for their in flight entertainment.
SriLankan's Airlines first frequent flyer program was called Serendib Miles, which was discontinued in 2000. The airline then partnered with Emirates Skywards frequent flyer program. When the contract ended on March 31 2008 the partnership between the two airlines ended. SriLankan subsequently created and launched FlySmiLes frequent flyer program.
The Sri Lankan Airlines currently flies about 28 destinations in 15 countries across Europe and Asia. In Europe, the airline flies to United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and France. In Asia, the airline covers India, China, Maldives, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
