Cathay Pacific
Cathay Pacific has its main hub at Hong Kong International airport. In 2007, it was voted Airline of the Year at the TTG Travel Awards and the Best Transpacific Airline at the OAG 25th Annual Awards. Cathay Pacific offers more flights from Hong Kong to North America and Australia than any other airline. It is a founder member of the oneworld airline alliance.
On long haul flights, Cathay Pacific aircraft contain First, Business and Economy class cabins. The airline is in the process of upgrading all seating in its aircraft to ensure that passengers receive outstanding levels of comfort whilst flying. The new seats in Economy class are designed to ensure that personal space is maximised, without restricting the space of the traveller in the seat behind when the seat is reclined. The enhanced Business and First Class cabins feature flat beds.
On regional flights, Cathay Pacific aircraft are configured into Economy and Regional Business cabins. Regional Business class offers seats which have more storage space, mechanical lumbar support and an electrical recline.
Passengers travelling with Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong International Airport will travel through their SuperHub, which offers 6 preferred Arrival/Departure/Transit Gates, next to Immigration and Arrivals, thus reducing the time taken for passengers at the airport. The SuperHub has sections called The Wing and The Pier which contain both Business and First Class lounges. Facilities in these include business services, complimentary meals and drinks and showers.
Cathay Pacific run a frequent flyer programme called the Marco Polo Club. Membership levels are Green, Silver, Gold and Diamond levels. Members are eligible for many benefits, including worldwide lounge access, guaranteed seats and inflight duty free specials. Points can be earned on Cathay Pacific or Dragonair flights or through transactions with affliated partners. Cathay Pacific flights can also be used to earn Asia Miles, which has 19 partner airlines.
Cathay Pacific is the owner of Dragonair.
